I think this horse is pretty well beat, but I thought I would just take one of my own stories and go through the process as an example. I promise just one more monomyth blog after this.
As I’ve mentioned several times in the Storycrafting posts, one of the reasons I found the monomyth idea so compelling – way before I saw Joseph Campbell on PBS, way before I ever heard of or read about story theory – was that I had already written a story which maps pretty darn well to it and I thought it was definitely one of my best pieces.
